Everything you need to know about using KinArchive
Getting Started
Installation & Setup
- Download KinArchive from the App Store
- Sign in with Apple or create/sign in with a passkey
- Enable iCloud for KinArchive in iOS Settings
- Set up Face ID protection (recommended)
- Add your first document using the + button
Tip: KinArchive requires iOS 17.0 or later on iPhone and iPad, supports Mac Catalyst on compatible Macs, and uses an active iCloud account for sync.
Managing Documents
Adding Documents
There are several ways to add documents:
- From Template: Use pre-built templates for common documents
- Scan: Use your camera to scan physical documents
- Import: Import from Files, Photos, Mail, Safari, or other apps using the Share Sheet
- Custom: Create custom document types with your own fields

Security Features
Face ID Protection
Enable biometric authentication for accessing sensitive documents.
App PIN
Set a custom PIN as an alternative to Face ID.

Use tags to organize documents by family member, type, or custom criteria.
Search & Filtering
Quickly find documents using advanced search with filters for date, type, tags, and more.
Alerts & Notifications
Expiration Alerts
Set expiration dates on documents and receive notifications before they expire.
